Our Free Virtual Open House event will focus on the treatment of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). EDS refers to a group of 13 heritable connective tissue disorders. Common symptoms across all types include joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, tissue fragility, chronic pain, frequent physical traumas, poor sleep, low blood pressure, stomach problems, anxiety and chronic fatigue and more. Many of them can be addressed by Integrative Medicine which includes specialties such as Functional and Naturopathic medicine, Integrative Mental Health, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, Ayurveda and Yoga Therapy, Medical Cannabis, Nutrition and more.
We have invited all our GWCIM providers, who have worked extensively with EDS patients, to discuss treatments and the latest research. The event will feature short presentations and a live Q&A session. If you’d like to understand EDS, join us! The Open Houses are free virtual educational events, provided by GWCIM for anyone interested – community members, their friends, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Â
